Harris said Biden's economic policy was the best possible during the election campaign. Sixteen Nobel Prize winners and Goldman Sachs, a top investment company, said that Trump's economic policy would cause inflation. They have just repeated this statement after Trump revealed what he will do day one as president. It was not Trump, but Biden that succeeded in lowering inflation, which Trump had driven up when he was president.

Trump then responded that his economics professor approved his economic plan. This was a lie, just like everything else Trump said. His professor has said that Trump was his dumbest student ever, but usually, the truth is the opposite of what Trump says.

Many have warned that Putin controls Trump’s plan. This plan aims to weaken the USA. His politics serve this purpose. His pro-Russian allies, like Musk, share the same agenda. Brainwashed Republican voters are now tied to Trump as Putin's Patriots.

What Does “Brainwash” Mean?

The idea of "brainwashing" seems more like something from sci-fi or horror movies. However, it is a real issue. Brainwashing is more common than you might believe. For loved ones watching a friend, partner, or family member who may be brainwashed, it can feel impossible to reach them. Before we address how to deal with a brainwashed person, we must first start with the basics: What is brainwashing?

Today, people often use the term to describe someone whose thoughts and beliefs are shaped by the media. However, its actual definition is much broader. Brainwashing is the process of pressuring someone to adopt very different beliefs. This is done using systematic and often forceful methods. As intense as this definition may sound, “brainwashing” is pretty commonplace in our society and even in our relationships.

This controlling behavior is similar to what you may know as "gaslighting." It can happen with both big and small issues. If you have had a boss, friend, parent, or partner who made you question your beliefs, you can understand how brainwashing works.

Examples of Brainwashing

You might first think of those examples as just peer pressure

However, there is a big difference. Brainwashing is very dangerous. It includes some level of indoctrination to a group. People often say, “We all had to do it,” whether it is official or not. As a result, those individuals start to adopt certain behaviors. These behaviors often clash with their original beliefs. They then try to impose these views on others.

How to Deal with a Brainwashed Person

Indoctrination plays a crucial role in all sorts of group membership. This membership is vital to a person's identity. This makes it very hard to get through to victims of brainwashing.

Be compassionate

When you feel frustrated, angry, or scared of someone, your intense emotions can show in your words. This can make them defensive and push them closer to brainwashing. Telling someone that they’ve been brainwashed or applying other negative labels won’t get you anywhere. Before broaching the conversation, be sure to do so in as non-judgemental a manner as possible.

Reconnect over shared experiences

Talking about old memories or conversations can help remind someone of their past identity. It shows that they had a life beyond their current interests. Additionally, it can put someone in a positive frame of mind, making them more receptive to what you have to say.

Expose them to facts—gently

Once again, in a non-judgmental manner, introduce facts contradicting what they’ve been brainwashed to believe. Present these as gentle questions like “What do you think about this?” You could also agree: "Her family must be heartbroken by that choice.” This provides an opportunity for the brainwashed person to be exposed to rational lines of thinking without feeling attacked.

Be patient

Whether it’s a cult or company culture, breaking out of groupthink will take time. Beliefs aren’t changed overnight, nor will they be changed back. In the end, no one can make someone change their beliefs. This is especially true if those beliefs are tied to a firm ideology or religion. The best you can do is slowly change their harmful beliefs. This may help them realize the truth in their own time. Even so, don’t wait; help your brainwashed loved one ASAP!
